Meet the Pros

Brian Glubok

Brian Glubok, founder of the WBS Agency, is a bridge pro in very high demand hailing from New York City. Glubok, an alumnus of Amherst College, has consistently excelled with all kinds of partners, in local, regional and national competition.

Bob Hamman

Bob Hamman needs no introduction, so we will not even try.  Suffice to say he is the most successful, highest achieving player in the history of tournament bridge.

Joe Grue

Born in Minnesota, Joe Grue moved to NYC in his early 20's, just months after the fall of the World Trade Center. Perhaps the highest paid pro available for regionals in North America, Joe's clients invariably come away happy - invariably with a good time and often with a high or even first-place finish.

Joe plays well, plays fast, and teaches as much (or as little) as the client likes.

Ron Smith

Ron Smith
got his start at the rubber bridge club in his native St. Louis. His major bridge-table successes span many decades - 1978, a win in Cincinnati with Bobby Levin in the Blue Ribbon Pairs - very recently (March 2024), a second place finish in the Vanderbilt.

Ron is available for tournaments, on-line play, and private small-group  lessons.

Paulo Brum

Paulo Brum is originally from Brazil, but currently living in Ohio. He has represented his home country at the highest level, and also coached players of all levels. He is very competitive, deeply passionate about the game and is always looking for ways to improve your skills. Check out his Youtube Channel and his Substack.

Robert Levey is an outstanding bridge player, teacher, and writer, with a stellar record as a daily Washington Post columnist for over 20 years. His bridge achievements include multiple victories in national, regional, sectional, and local championships in and around Washington, DC, and some as far north as his native NYC.

His students assert that Bob has a rich understanding of modern 2/1 bidding, and a patient approach in explaining difficult concepts. He plays with a variety of satisfied students for WBS, and intends, in 2025, to expand his client base.

Alex Kolesnik

Alex Kolesnik, a professor of college mathematics, is the Head of ACBL Junior Program, and has tons of experience as a demanded NPC of several US National Teams. He is also a popular speaker at Regional Tournaments, Country Clubs, and elsewhere.

Disa Eythorsdottir enjoys a secure place among elite American bridge professionals. Born in Iceland, this Viking World Champion emigrated to the US in her twenties and has been one of the top women players in the US ever since. Over quite a few years playing regularly in New York City's tough daily duplicate games, she lifted her game from strong to outstanding. The management of WBS takes great pride in announcing our newest affiliated pro, Iceland's own, Disa Eythorsdottir. Contact her through her phone number or email.

Louis Beauchet, who was chosen to be the ACBL King of Bridge when he was 18, is now a full-fledged pro with excellent results in America and in his native France. An accomplished player and a very good bridge blogger, he is available for online and live playing dates .

Finn Kolesnik is one of the rising stars of the 21st century. Don't let his youth deceive you -- he already has national and international titles in his belt, such as the Soloway Knockout 2022, the U21 World Pairs 2022, and the U26 World Teams 2022. Contact us if you'd like to set a date with him.

Nathan Gong
is an up-and-coming, constantly cheerful junior player who started seriously learning in COVID and hasn't looked back ever since. The newest addition to the team, he is excited to make his mark on the bridge world.
